So many people say they would help someone in need. They say they would jump in front of a bullet for someone, or a car. They would dive in the ocean to save a drowning person, or animal. Would you really? Honestly! Think about it, we say these things, but would we really do it? We say we have such big hearts and we would do anything for the ones we love, or even strangers. I want to think there’s good in everyone, I want to believe that everyone is capable of doing these things, but when I go through days and see murder on the news, bullying in schools, abuse in relationships, and what? People are reporting it, yes. People are making it noticed, but who’s actually doing anything about it? Have you seen someone you don’t talk to in the halls getting picked on and actually walk over and stood up for them? Would you really take a punch for a kid you’ve probably only exchanged looks with in the hall? Do you give change to that homeless person asking for it? Even if they’re faking it, or going to buy drugs, how do you know that? If you believe that they’re not going to use your money for good, and not give it to them, how do you know? What are you going to use it on? It will most likely end being washed in your jeans or used on a pop. Have you ever just thought about it, honestly what you will do in this situation. We all want to say we will save a person, but all I ever see now is people thinking about themselves, me included, I don’t know if I would do that. I know that I like to do little things, I’ll pay for someones food while i’m working if their card isn’t working, or they don’t have enough money. I will compliment someone, or say hi, or even just smile. Because that smile could make the difference in someones life. Yes, we have those heroes out there in the world who have and probably will go to extremes to save someone, and I praise that person. If you are that person than good job, you’ve made a difference in someones life, I hope you realize this. I hope everyone sees what you have done as an example to how everyone should start their day. “I will make a difference today, even if it’s as small as saying hi to someone I don’t know.” Start your day like this, you will have such a better outcome.
